Putin said in an interview with India Today: “We are not proposing any special plan. We have always believed that resolving the Palestinian issue requires implementing the decisions made by the United Nations over many years, most importantly the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. This is the key to solving all problems.” The statement continued: “The two sides exchanged detailed views on the situation in the Middle East, including developments in the Gaza Strip, in the context of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, the situation related to the Iranian nuclear program, and issues related to enhancing stability in Syria.”
