Moscow – Sputnik. On the evening of November 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited one of the command centers of the Joint Forces Group, where he received field reports, among others. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that “the servicemen of the 128th Mechanized Brigade of the 44th Military Corps within the ‘North’ Forces Group evacuated civilians from the city of Volchansk in the Kharkiv region and provided them with necessary assistance.” During the evacuation of unarmed civilians, most of whom were elderly, including individuals with limited mobility, Ukrainian forces used attack drones and mortars against them. The attack resulted in two women being injured by shrapnel, and Russian soldiers provided them with timely medical assistance. According to the Ministry of Defense, “after reaching a safe area, the residents of Volchansk were transported by vehicles to a rear area, where they were provided with rest places and hot meals in a temporary shelter.”
