Al-Ansari said, “Sheikh Tamim discussed with Rubio the Israeli attack on Doha and the war on Gaza,” affirming that Qatar’s relationship with the United States is strategic, especially on the defense level. Al-Ansari emphasized Doha’s determination to defend its sovereignty and take measures to prevent any recurrence of attacks, explaining that the message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is that violating international law without accountability will not continue. Regarding Washington’s awareness of the attack 50 minutes prior, he clarified, “We do not rely on media reports and communicate directly with America.” Concerning the indirect negotiations with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Al-Ansari stated that the negotiations do not seem realistic now because Netanyahu wants to assassinate anyone who negotiates with him and bomb the mediating state. Al-Ansari appreciated the stance of Arab and Islamic countries in solidarity with the State of Qatar.
