During his speech at the “Tourism 2025” forum held in Riyadh today, Tuesday, he stated that his decision to move to Saudi Arabia was correct, as reality later proved, according to Al Arabiya channel.

Ronaldo said in a previous video published by the club on YouTube: “My family always supports my decisions, and we are happy here and living a beautiful life. The Saudis treat us wonderfully, and that’s why we want to stay and live here.”

He added: “My goal is to continue winning titles with Al-Nassr, and I still believe in that, which is why I renewed my contract for an additional two years because I believe I will be a champion in Saudi Arabia.”

Ronaldo concluded by affirming the strength of the Saudi league, considering it among the top five leagues in the world, expecting the 2034 World Cup to be “the most beautiful in history.”

The announcement was made via a post on the “X” platform, where the club confirmed the stay of 40-year-old Ronaldo, who appeared in a promotional video saying: “Al-Nassr forever.”

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in 2023, contributing to raising the Saudi league’s global profile, although he has not won any local or continental titles despite leading the league’s scoring chart with 25 goals.

Ronaldo’s continuation is part of the Public Investment Fund’s strategy, the primary supporter of Saudi football, to attract world stars in preparation for hosting the 2034 World Cup.

The Portuguese football star has previously hinted at a possible retirement in Saudi Arabia, which is popular among members of the Saudi royal family.
