Peskov, in response to a question from ‘Russia 1’ channel journalist Pavel Zarubin on this matter, said: ‘No, we have not received a response to President Putin’s proposal regarding the New START Treaty on strategic offensive arms reduction.’
Peskov told reporters, when asked about the consequences for the world without the START treaty: ‘A more dangerous world. A world fraught with serious threats to strategic stability.’
Dmitry Peskov noted that Moscow is waiting for a response from the United States to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal regarding the New START Treaty.
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday that Russia is ready to adhere to the restrictions stipulated by the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START) for a year, provided that the United States takes a similar stance.
