Saldo told the ‘Sputnik’ agency: ‘All attempts to cross the Dnieper River are thwarted, and everything is visible there, including from the sea.’ On the night of July 28, Russian forces thwarted an attempted landing by Ukrainian armed forces in the Tindrov area using four boats, causing heavy losses to the enemy. Later, Russian forces launched a violent attack on the port of Ochakiv, in the Mykolaiv region, where Ukrainian armed forces were trying to land their troops on Tindrov.
He explained that although the enemy does not give up attempts to land troops and sabotage and reconnaissance groups, they use for this purpose foreign-made speedboats, which are destroyed upon approaching the shore. He confirmed that ‘all these attempts and the training of these specialized personnel are carried out from the neighboring Mykolaiv region. There is a port in Ochakiv, and there are places where these sabotage groups, including the navy, have been trained. Therefore, intelligence data has allowed for precise targeting.’
Last week, Saldo told the ‘Sputnik’ agency that the Ukrainian armed forces are considering large-scale landing ideas off the coasts of the Kherson region, and enemy activity has been recorded on the Black Sea coast in the areas of Basagi Tindrov and Kinburn. Since February 24, 2022, Russian forces have been continuing their special military operation aimed at disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats directed through it to Russia’s security, and protecting civilians who have been persecuted for eight years in the Donbas region by the Kyiv regime.
