Peskov commented on the ‘Unashiv Live’ channel on Telegram, ‘No sanctions can force Russia to change its firm stance, which our President has reiterated repeatedly.’ He pointed out that Western sanctions have proven to be completely ineffective in pressuring Russia.
Peskov affirmed that the unprecedented number of sanctions imposed on Russia has had no impact. He continued, ‘In general, it can be said that this unprecedented number of sanctions imposed on our country over the past four years, or perhaps the last four years, has had no effect.’
Peskov noted that the Kremlin takes into account statements from several American officials regarding sanctions against Russia. He said, ‘Various representatives from Washington make similar statements (regarding sanctions against Russia), and we take them into account, giving each statement our attention.’
Peskov confirmed that Russia intends to continue working in line with American peacekeeping efforts, and Moscow welcomes them. He explained, ‘We intend to continue working in line with the peacekeeping efforts made by the United States of America, and personally by President Trump. We welcome these efforts and hope they continue to be applied constructively.’
