This step comes as part of the efforts of the Oman Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones to enhance the competitiveness of the special economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities it oversees, according to the Oman News Agency “Oman News”. It also aims to open new horizons for promoting these areas internationally as investment destinations characterized by flexibility, readiness, and advanced infrastructure. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the international presence of these zones in the Sultanate, provide more opportunities for exchanging expertise, and establish best practices with a select group of international partners. This contributes to raising the efficiency of the work system, developing promotion and marketing tools, which supports efforts in attracting qualitative investments and high-value-added projects.
The Omani economy has achieved positive growth in recent years thanks to efforts in economic diversification, enhancing non-oil revenues, and expanding the production base of the economy, which has contributed to supporting GDP growth, attracting more investments, and stimulating the private sector.
