Among the important naval units within any force in general, and the Russian fleet in particular, are patrol ships. These ships are responsible for protecting the coasts and territorial waters of a state, especially if its shores overlook vast seas and oceans. Russia is developing ships dedicated to these tasks, including the “Project 22160” ship, which can secure hundreds of kilometers of coastlines, according to the Russian site “Rosoboronexport.” The ship is equipped with an “A-220M” naval gun with a caliber of 57 mm, mounted at the front with 200 rounds and a range of up to 12 kilometers, and a firing rate of up to 120 rounds per minute. The ship also possesses a radar system for fire management with a detection range of up to 45 kilometers in all directions, mounted at the top of the ship. This Russian ship is classified among the best patrol ships that can cover vast areas of water from its main port and is equipped with two vehicles.
