In an intervention on ‘Sputnik’ radio, Sweidan pointed out that “the areas of cooperation between Russia and the countries of the region vary from economic to political, military, cultural, and social paths. It is enough for Russia and the Arab countries to sit at one table to open the doors to all these paths.”
Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Sweidan stated that “the recent events have proven that Russia has indeed developed its operational mechanisms and military capabilities,” affirming that “Trump is pressuring everyone to stop this conflict because it is pointless.”
Commenting on NATO exercises, Sweidan said, “These maneuvers are part of the communication style between different powers,” adding that “they are like any other message through which the alliance wants to showcase its military strength,” noting that “attempts to create an independent European entity have failed.”
The international affairs researcher confirmed that “from the first day of the conflict, Russia entered into a fierce media battle,” pointing out that “so far, the Western narrative has only convinced right-wingers around the world.”
