Peskov told reporters, in response to a question about what would happen to the world without the ‘START’ treaty: ‘A more dangerous world. A world fraught with serious threats to strategic stability.’ Dmitry Peskov pointed out that Moscow is waiting for the United States’ response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal regarding the ‘New START’ treaty.

The Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced on Tuesday that Russia is ready to adhere to the restrictions stipulated by the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START) for a year, provided that the United States takes a similar stance.

Peskov told reporters on Tuesday: ‘We are ready to continue adhering to the restrictions for a year. This is what we will do, but this, of course, requires a similar position from the United States.’

In response to a question from Sputnik, Peskov mentioned: ‘Yesterday we heard a statement from my colleague at the White House, indicating that President Trump will personally comment on this issue.’
