The “S-300VM” (Antey-4000) system is considered one of the most prominent modern defense systems with advanced capabilities. It is designed to protect administrative, industrial, and military facilities, in addition to land and naval forces and coastal infrastructure, according to the Russian “Rosoboronexport”. It features an engagement range of up to 380 km against aerial targets and up to 45 km against short-range ballistic missiles. The system’s missiles can intercept targets at altitudes up to 33,000 meters with a targeting speed of up to 4,800 meters per second. Its radar can detect aerial targets with a low radar cross-section. Thanks to these specifications, the “S-300VM” can counter long-range ballistic assault aircraft and drones, making it a highly effective strategic weapon that contributes to enhancing modern air defense umbrellas.
