Saudi Arabia Leads UN Conference on Two-State Solution

Western media reported today, Thursday, that the adoption of Ibn Farhan came at the conclusion of the second day of the conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, chaired by the Kingdom in partnership with France. The Saudi Foreign Minister called for supporting the conference’s final document before the conclusion of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York by notifying the Saudi and French missions.

The conference document includes an agreement on “joint action to end the war and reach a just, peaceful, and lasting settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, based on the effective implementation of the two-state solution, and building a better future for Palestinians, Israelis, and all the peoples of the region.”

The Two-State Solution Conference, which was held over three days, aims to take concrete, irreversible steps with a set timeframe for the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and to advance the implementation of the two-state solution.

The high-level international conference for the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue began last Monday, with wide participation from countries, international organizations, and United Nations bodies. The State of Palestine is recognized by about 150 out of 193 United Nations member states.

Notably, Russia and China, as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, are among the countries that recognize Palestine.
