The Saudi Defense statement on the “X” platform announced the launch of the mixed bilateral naval exercise “Blue Sword-4”. This exercise involves the naval forces represented by units from the Eastern Fleet and their counterparts from the naval forces of the People’s Republic of China at King Abdulaziz Naval Base in the Eastern Fleet in Jubail.
Earlier, the Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that the joint navy exercises would take place from mid to late October this year.
The Chinese military spokesperson added that these joint maneuvers “will enhance the exchange of tactical and technical expertise between the two navies and deepen friendship and cooperation.”
