Security Incident at Tucson Base Early Friday

Colonel Jose Cabrera explained, in a statement reported by American media, that the incident occurred early Friday morning. He noted that “security personnel acted according to their training to protect the facility and its pilots,” expressing regret over the loss of lives.

The incident took place at approximately 2:30 a.m. local time when a civilian ignored instructions to stop at the main gate of the base located near the city of Tucson.
