Nasr observed that the method and style in which events are unfolding, such as road closures and the halting of institutional work, resemble what is known as color revolutions or creative chaos.

Nasr considered that what allows the West to exploit these matters is Serbia’s desire to join the European Union. Consequently, the West exerts pressure under the banners of democracy and media freedom.

Nasr explained that there is a special role, not because of leaning towards Russia, but due to a historical animosity towards the West. This makes Serbia, in the eyes of the West, a pocket of Russian influence in Europe. He dismissed the possibility of the West being able to change the regime in Serbia.
