Shah Rukh Khan last graced the silver screen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The acclaimed actor had been gearing up for his next major venture, King, helmed by Siddharth Anand. However, filming temporarily stopped due to Khan’s arm injury. Eager fans received direct updates from Khan himself.
On Saturday, Shah Rukh conducted an #AskSRK session on Twitter (recently renamed X), where a fan inquired about his future projects. Khan reassured that progress on King is ongoing.
“Completed some good scenes…will resume soon. Focusing on leg shots for now, then the upper body. Insha Allah, we’ll wrap up quickly. @justSidAnand is striving to finish,” Khan shared, noting he’s presently undergoing physiotherapy for his shoulder.
Filming had paused last month following Shah Rukh’s injury.
The AMA session also touched on subjects beyond King. Khan celebrated his recent National Award for Best Actor, credited to his stellar role in Jawan (2023).
He also discussed his son Aryan Khan’s upcoming directorial debut, Bands of Bollywood, a Netflix series supported by Red Chillies Entertainment, with its first look revealed on August 17.
