Moscow, September 14 – Sputnik. Sa’ar wrote on the ‘X’ platform: “A few days ago, the Prime Minister of Spain expressed regret over not having a nuclear bomb to stop Israel. Today, he called on protesters to take to the streets.” Pro-Palestinian demonstrators initiated acts of violence during the final stage of the “Vuelta a España” cycling race in Madrid, forcing organizers to end it early. A Sputnik correspondent witnessed police using tear gas to disperse the protesters.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced last Monday that his country would take nine measures to stop “in the Gaza Strip.” At a press conference, he stated that Spain decided to ban arms supplies to Israel and prohibit the transit of ships carrying fuel for the Israeli army through Spanish ports.
Spain also decided to “ban all planes transporting defensive materials to Israel from entering Spanish airspace, as well as prohibit the entry of all individuals directly involved in genocide and war crimes into Spanish territory, and ban the import of products from illegal settlements in Gaza and the West Bank.”
Sánchez added in the press conference: “Protecting the homeland is one thing, but bombing hospitals and starving innocent children to death is something entirely different. What is happening is the extermination of defenseless people; it violates all laws of humanitarian law. We cannot stand idly by.”
