According to local authorities in the state, farmers noticed swelling and cracks in the silo structure before the incident and attempted to empty its contents without success. Shortly afterward, the silo collapsed suddenly, causing power lines to fall and sparks to fly in the area.
However, the incident resulted in a power outage for dozens of homes. The electricity company explained that the damaged power lines network needs a complete rebuild, without specifying a date for service restoration yet.
