The Atlanta Police Department has taken into custody a suspect linked to the car theft involving Beyonce’s stolen hard drives.
On August 26, Kelvin Evans was apprehended on charges of entering a vehicle with the intent to commit theft or a felony, according to People.
He is accused of stealing several items — including a flash drive with Beyonce’s unreleased music, upcoming concert plans, and more — from choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue’s Jeep Wagoneer on July 8.
The vehicle was parked in the Ayla apartment building’s garage before Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta, as reported by People.
The police report, previously obtained by People, stated, “The hard drives contained watermarked and unreleased music, show footage plans, and set lists for past and future performances.”
Additionally, Grant and Blue reported the theft of clothing, designer sunglasses, two suitcases, laptops, and a pair of AirPods Max from the car.
The hard drives remain unrecovered, investigators informed CNN.
Evans is currently detained at Fulton County Jail on a $20,000 bond (approximately Dh73,449.9), as per jail records. The records reveal his extensive arrest history since 2002, involving charges like armed robbery, aggravated assault, and vehicle entry with theft intent.
