The Syrian news channel “Al-Ikhbariya” showcased part of the efforts by Syrian security forces in seizing a shipment of rockets headed to Lebanon in an ambush near the Lebanese border. They confiscated the seized items and took the necessary measures regarding them.
Earlier, a Syrian security source in the city of Tartus announced on Tuesday the killing of two members belonging to the internal security forces. The Syrian news agency “SANA” reported from the security source that the incident occurred after a suspected vehicle stopped on the side of the road in the city of Tartus.
When patrol members approached to inspect it, an individual inside the vehicle opened fire directly at the security personnel, leading to the death of two members. The security source added that the unidentified gunmen fled, while the competent authorities are working to pursue the car and identify the perpetrators to arrest them and bring them to justice for their rightful punishment.
