Russia is developing various types of “Project 11711E,” designed to transport dozens of military vehicles, which may include combat vehicles and tanks. Additionally, it can be used to transport hundreds of soldiers from their bases to landing points that can be used to create breaches in enemy defensive lines or to encircle enemy forces from the coastal direction, according to combat plans formulated during warfare.
The Russian ship “Project 11711E” is designed to transport equipment and personnel thanks to its equipping with different landing tools, allowing it to operate near the shore and safely transport its cargo through shallow waters, as mentioned by the Russian site “Rosoboronexport.”
The ship is equipped with two machine guns at its forefront, which can be used to engage targets at a range of up to 5 kilometers, allowing it to engage coastal targets from a 5-kilometer distance when necessary.
Furthermore, the ship is designed with a platform for the landing and takeoff of military helicopters weighing up to 12 tons. It can transport hundreds of soldiers and dozens of military vehicles or tanks, either in single loads or combined, depending on the mission’s nature.
The ship can carry 13 tanks, 36 armored personnel carriers, 40 military vehicles, or 300 soldiers.
