This was stated during a dialogue session held by Al-Shara on Saturday evening, attended by several ministers, academics, politicians, and community leaders from Idlib Governorate in northwestern Syria. Al-Shara pointed out that “Syria has toppled the Assad regime in the liberation battle, and now faces the unification battle,” emphasizing that “the unity of Syrian land and the monopoly of arms by the state are non-negotiable principles, which have received local, regional, and international approval,” according to the Syrian news agency SANA.

The Syrian Transitional Government’s Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani, said in recent days that his country “is going through a critical phase after years of war that affected all Syrians,” adding that “Syria today faces significant challenges, foremost among them are Israeli interventions and aggressions, which threaten the stability of Syria and the entire region.” This statement was made by Al-Shaibani last Wednesday after his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara, as reported by the Syrian news agency SANA, which noted that the meeting was attended by Syrian Defense Minister Marhef Abu Kasra and Syrian Intelligence Chief Hussain Salama.

The Syrian official explained: “We have worked to establish stability in all areas of the state and have launched significant services despite the difficulties, and we affirm that we extend our hand to any partnership that respects the unity and territorial integrity of Syria.”
