Thunberg wrote on her Instagram account (activities of the company ‘Meta’, which includes the social networks ‘Facebook’ and ‘Instagram’, are banned in Russia, being considered extremist): ‘On August 31, we will launch the largest ever attempt to break the illegal Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, with the help of dozens of ships that will depart from Spain.’ In June, the sailing ship ‘Madeleine’ set sail, carrying Thunberg, Irish actor Liam Cunningham, known for his role in the series ‘Game of Thrones’, and about 10 other pro-Palestinian activists, heading towards the Gaza Strip. Onboard the ‘Madeleine’, which was heading to the Gaza Strip, was French Member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan. The activists were later deported to their countries. On June 8, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz ordered the army to take all necessary measures to prevent the ship from reaching the shores of the Gaza Strip.
