The leaders were speaking at the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh after Trump addressed a group of world leaders gathered at the summit, which followed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Neither the White House nor the Indonesian Embassy in Washington has responded to a request for comment so far. It was unclear from the audio clip whether they were referring to the Trump Organization or any business deals related to the president or his family.
Speaking to Trump while the two men stood behind a podium equipped with a microphone, Prabowo referred to an “unsafe” area. He then asked Trump, “Can I meet Eric?” Prabowo then said, “We will look for a better place.” Trump responded again, saying, “I’ll ask Eric to contact you.” Prabowo said, “Eric or Don Junior.”
Eric and his brother Donald Junior serve as Executive Vice Presidents of the Trump Organization, which has business operations including real estate, hospitality services, and blockchain-based projects. The organization’s website shows it operates a golf club outside the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
