Trump said in a press statement: “If the court cancels these decisions, it will be a disaster. Frankly, it will be a matter of national security for our country. But no one thinks the court will cancel them.” U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bisent said last Thursday that he is very impressed with the Supreme Court sessions on this issue.

Trump added in an interview with ‘One America News’: “The percentage is close to the target level, and the country is finally receiving unprecedented revenues from tariffs, which have so far exceeded $200 billion… In the end,” he said. The U.S. President noted that he was able “within a few months, to reduce,” thanks to the tariff policy adopted by his administration, according to his expression.

Earlier, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bisent stated that the tariffs imposed by Trump on U.S. trade partners “could bring the U.S. economy between $300 billion and $600 billion annually,” according to him. Meanwhile, scientists from Yale University estimated that it might cost American households $2,400 annually, noting that even if consumers decide to consume cheaper products, the losses will still be estimated at around $2,000.

Trump signed an executive order on 69 countries, and the decision came into effect on August 7th. The rates range between 10 percent and 41 percent, depending on the country.
