Tunisia Secures World Cup Qualification

The Tunisian qualification came after an exciting victory by the “Carthage Eagles” over the Equatorial Guinea team with a score of 1-0 in the final moments of a tough match held on Monday evening.

Despite Equatorial Guinea’s clear dominance over the course of the match, Firas Chaouat capitalized on a defensive mistake in the last seconds, snatching the ball and going one-on-one with the goal before passing it to Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, who placed it in the net, declaring the qualifying goal.

With this victory, Tunisia strengthened its lead in the group by 10 points over Namibia, who have only three matches remaining, thus ensuring qualification before the end of the qualifiers.

This qualification marks the seventh in Tunisia’s history for the World Cup, following their previous participations in the years: 1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018, and 2022.
