IRNA reported this evening, Tuesday, that the statements by Cem Baş were made during his inspection of the ‘Kuzerash’ crossing in the city of Salmas (part of West Azerbaijan Province, located in northwestern Iran). The Turkish official stated that ‘the aim of this visit is to study the mechanism of opening a new border gate named Kuzerash.’ He added that ‘this crossing can contribute to improving the standard of living and welfare of the residents of both countries, as well as enhancing communication between the border provinces.’ The Turkish official noted that ‘it is not possible to set an exact date for achieving this, but Turkey is making all possible efforts in this regard.’ Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province shares a 550-kilometer border with Turkey and is the only Iranian province adjacent to this country.
