Since the reopening of border crossings, 325 UAE trucks have delivered 6,775 tonnes of aid to Gaza amid an escalating humanitarian crisis.
On Friday, the UN officially declared a famine in Gaza, marking the first in the Middle East, with experts noting 500,000 people face “catastrophic” hunger.
UN aid chief Tom Fletcher stated the famine was wholly avoidable, attributing the food blockade to “systematic obstruction by Israel”.

Israel’s foreign ministry quickly countered, claiming “there is no famine in Gaza”.
Unwavering Commitment
The UAE remains steadfast in its support for the Palestinian people, aiming to mitigate the current situation’s effects and standing in solidarity with Gaza families.
A UAE relief team in Al Arish, Egypt, ensures the precise loading and transfer of aid through the Rafah crossing to recipients in Gaza.
Last week, four UAE convoys carrying diverse aid, part of ‘Operation Chivalrous Knight 3’, crossed into Gaza via the Rafah border.
The convoys included 76 trucks with over 1,419 tonnes of aid, comprising food, medical supplies, shelter materials, and water desalination equipment.
UN reports last month highlighted that the UAE’s tri-modal aid delivery by land, sea, and air accounts for 44% of total international aid to Gaza so far.
