The Emirates News Agency ‘WAM’ reported: ‘Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, discussed with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, in addition to the Israeli attack on Qatari territory.’ The President of the UAE praised the efforts of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, for peace and stability in the region.
Earlier today, the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Doha for a visit to Qatar, where he was received by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the accompanying delegation.
Several Arab and regional countries expressed their strong condemnation of the Israeli attack on the Qatari capital, Doha, which targeted a building housing several leaders and negotiators from the ‘Hamas’ movement, who were discussing reaching a ceasefire agreement. However, the attack did not result in the death of any ‘Hamas’ leaders, according to a statement from the movement.
Earlier, sources in the Israeli security and intelligence agencies expressed doubts about the achievement of the objectives set for the operation targeting ‘Hamas’ leaders in Doha, the Qatari capital, on Tuesday.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, commenting on the operation targeting ‘Hamas’ leaders in Doha, stated that ‘Israel will act against its enemies everywhere and those who participated in the October 7 attack will be held accountable.’
The White House described the attack as a ‘bombing of a sovereign state and a close ally of Washington,’ while Trump stated he was ‘unhappy with all the details of the operation,’ and that it came at an inconvenient time, especially with Qatar’s role in mediation and attempts to achieve calm.
This Israeli attack comes days after Israeli Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened to eliminate Hamas leaders abroad, amid ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. Last year witnessed a series of Israeli assassinations targeting prominent ‘Hamas’ leaders in the Gaza Strip, Iran, and Lebanon.
