Previously, the UAE Football Association initiated a community campaign named “A Homeland’s Dream” to support the national team, known as the ‘Whites’, in their quest for the 2026 World Cup Asian play-offs.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Football Association, has urged “our loyal fans to rally behind our teams in international competitions and prepare to support the Whites next month during their crucial journey towards the World Cup dream.”

In the fourth round of Asian qualifiers in Doha for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the UAE will compete against hosts Qatar and Oman in Group A.

The victor of this group will qualify for next year’s World Cup in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

The second-place team from this group will face the runner-up of Group B, which includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Indonesia, to secure a spot in the inter-confederation playoffs, the final qualifying round for the World Cup.

To bypass the challenging fifth qualifying round, the UAE aims to secure the top spot in the fourth round by winning their matches against Oman (October 11) and Qatar (October 14).

The UAE has not qualified for the World Cup since their debut at Italia 1990, where they exited in the group stages.

Although the fourth round of qualifiers in Doha will be challenging, the UAE will draw motivation from their impressive victories over Qatar in the previous round.

After winning their first leg against Qatar 3-1, they dominated the Qatari team 5-0 in the home leg.
