In an effort to foster positivity among its residents, the UAE Media Council has introduced a new digital platform as of Tuesday, enabling community members to report any online content they find non-compliant.
The nation has recently implemented various measures to ensure a secure digital environment, including the introduction of the ‘Advertiser Permit’ for regulating social media ads on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
All media professionals and institutions in the UAE must adhere to a set of national media content standards. Non-compliance can result in fines, closure of the media outlet, or revocation of its license/permit.
