At their meeting in Qasr Al Shati, Abu Dhabi, they explored ways to enhance collaboration between OpenAI and UAE entities, focusing on AI research and its real-world uses.
This partnership supports the UAE’s goal of building a comprehensive AI ecosystem, aiding its development agenda and commitment to a knowledge-driven economy. The initiative aims to bolster the UAE’s global position in AI while fostering innovation and cooperation in both public and private sectors.
Altman praised the UAE’s AI vision and its international collaborations in this crucial sector.
The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence awarded Mr. Altman its inaugural honorary doctorate, acknowledging his significant leadership in AI.
