Doha is set to host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit next Sunday and Monday to address the Israeli attack, according to Qatar’s state news agency on Thursday. Additionally, the UAE’s foreign ministry criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “hostile” comments towards Qatar, stressing that any aggression against a Gulf nation is an attack on “the collective Gulf security framework.”

Netanyahu urged Qatar on Wednesday to expel Hamas officials or “bring them to justice, because if you don’t, we will”. He accused Qatar of offering refuge and financial support to Hamas, prompting a strong response from Doha.

The UAE, a significant oil producer and key trade hub in the Middle East, signed a U.S.-brokered normalization agreement with Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords, fostering economic and security collaborations, including defense partnerships.
