Students in the UAE now have the opportunity to access Google Gemini Pro, a powerful AI tool, for free for one year. This initiative, born from a strategic alliance between Google and the UAE Government, aims to boost students’ research skills, content creation, and project management using AI technologies.
University students aged 18 and above can register for this 12-month free access to Gemini 2.5 Pro until December 9, 2025, using their personal email addresses. This program allows students to generate text, images, and videos, conduct research, and manage daily tasks. Key features enhancing students’ learning include:

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to “advancing national talents and the community with AI tools to achieve global leadership by leveraging AI to develop skills, build capabilities, enhance efficiency, and accelerate innovation across all sectors.”
Anthony Nakache, Google’s Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, noted the increasing interest in AI and education. “Google Trends indicate a 110% increase in searches for AI and study-related topics over the last two months compared to the same time last year. This reflects teachers and students’ enthusiasm for experimenting with modern technologies to foster creativity in education,” he commented.
