The Emirati team commanding the UAE Humanitarian Aid Ship Gaza No. 10 will set sail from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi to Al Arish in Egypt on Friday. The voyage is estimated to last between ten days and two weeks. Upon arrival, the aid will be offloaded and moved to warehouses within five days, trainee navigation officer Al Hammadi shared with Khaleej Times.

Throughout the journey, daily cargo inspections are conducted to ensure safety. The crew operates in continuous shifts — four hours on, four hours off — to maintain smooth sea operations.

Al Hammadi and Al Mulla stressed that this shipment is a gesture of solidarity from the UAE to the Palestinian people, showcasing their unwavering support in times of crisis.

Massive Cargo, Unified Effort

The four-storey ship includes a floor solely for aid boxes and another modified for the mission, used as a garage. The loading was completed in five days.

Humaid Saeed Al Afari, UAE Relief Operations Coordinator, informed Khaleej Times that the UAE has executed 635 airlifts, 21 cargo ships, and 6,971 trucks to deliver aid to Gaza.

The UAE has also set up a 200-bed field hospital, treating over 52,000 patients, alongside a floating hospital in Al Arish. Additionally, initiatives to treat 1,000 Palestinian children and 1,000 cancer patients in the UAE have been launched.

Al-Afari added that the newest aid shipment carried 7,200 tons of supplies, including 65% food, 30% shelter materials, and 5% medical supplies, reaffirming the UAE’s steadfast humanitarian commitment to aiding the Palestinian people.
