CE-Invests, the strategic investment arm of Crescent Enterprises, revealed plans on Monday to invest Dh1 billion over the next three years in dynamic markets like India, Southeast Asia, and the GCC. This initiative aims to blend direct investments with fund allocations, targeting exciting opportunities in key sectors: consumer, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services.
This expansion underscores how rapid economic growth, enhanced investment frameworks, and increasing digital adoption are paving the way for innovative capital deployment, especially in the mid-market sector where operational backing and strong governance can foster growth.
Badr Jafar, CEO of Crescent Enterprises, remarked: “We are channeling our investments into high-growth sectors in the GCC, India, and Southeast Asia, where demographic trends, regulatory advancements, and digital transformation are opening new avenues. Despite shifting global market dynamics, we perceive vast potential in these regions for strategic, impact-focused investments that nurture financially sound, socially responsible, and globally competitive businesses.”
CE-Invests seeks to acquire significant minority stakes in promising enterprises, investing Dh75-200 million per transaction. Through patient capital, strategic mentorship, and a robust global network, it aims to foster and accelerate growth. The focus remains on sectors like consumer, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services. CE-Invests aligns its investments with Crescent Enterprises’ ESG standards and UN SDG goals.
“We aim to forge lasting partnerships with founders and management teams to drive value creation and cultivate future industry leaders,” expressed Ghada Abdelkader, Senior Vice President at CE-Invests. “Our target markets, with large, youthful populations and investor-friendly policies, are ideal for scaling businesses and enhancing returns.”
The strategy is crafted to boost the global competitiveness of mid-market leaders across the GCC-Asia corridor, utilizing Crescent Enterprises’ extensive network, portfolio synergies, and long-term investment outlook to propel sustainable growth.
Since 2017, Crescent Enterprises has actively invested in India and Southeast Asia through its venture capital platform CE-Ventures. By scaling investments in this region through CE-Invests, which focuses on mid-market companies and private equity funds, Crescent Enterprises builds on its established presence and deepens its commitment to the GCC-Asia corridor. CE-Invests recently participated in a $50 million Series C funding round for Flipspaces, a tech-driven interior design firm operating in India and the USA.
