Ibn Zayed emphasized that “K2 Think,” considered “the most advanced in the world,” marks a new step in the UAE’s journey towards enhancing its leadership in technology and artificial intelligence. The UAE President stressed that his country continues to boost investment in modern technology and artificial intelligence, utilizing it to achieve development and keep pace with global advancements, in line with its vision for a better future for generations, according to Emirati news agency (WAM).
The announcement of the “K2 Think” model coincided with the birthday of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on September 7th, in appreciation of his contributions to supporting technology, science, and innovation in the country. “Inference” is considered one of the most prominent capabilities of artificial intelligence, as it not only enables machines to see, hear, and create but also gives them a deeper ability to think, find solutions to challenges, and open new horizons for innovation and scientific exploration.
The “K2 Think” model will be launched in the coming days through a collaboration between the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and “G42 Group.” It has been designed to be smarter, more flexible, and efficient, with superior performance and a compact form that sometimes surpasses models ten times its size.
This achievement is the result of a close partnership between the “Foundation Model Institute” at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and “G42 Group,” reflecting the UAE’s leadership in integrating global research with advanced engineering and modern infrastructure. The launch of “K2 Think” is a significant technological achievement that solidifies the UAE’s efforts towards global leadership in artificial intelligence and represents a pivotal moment proving the role of open-source innovation and industrial collaboration in shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
