The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority reported that “the explosion sounds heard earlier today, Wednesday, near Damascus International Airport were due to the detonation of old war remnants. These were handled safely and in an area far from the airport.” The authority confirmed in a statement published on its Telegram channel that “Syrian airspace has become safe and available for use according to international safety standards, and all airways, including those previously closed, are now open for civilian air navigation.”
