Yencha said, “The increasing impact of the conflict on Russian civilians is concerning. We reiterate that all these attacks constitute a violation of international law.” Yencha, on behalf of the United Nations, condemned these actions and called for their immediate cessation.
Last week, the state company “Rosatom” announced that a Ukrainian combat drone was intercepted over the territory of the Smolensk nuclear industrial plant, and upon crashing, it exploded, shattering several windows of the building belonging to the plant’s third unit. The company clarified that the damage was minor, with no injuries recorded, and the incident did not affect the plant’s operation, with radiation levels remaining within normal limits.
Ukrainian forces are conducting operations in the Russian border areas, while Russian air defense forces are able to shoot down the majority of hostile drones. Conversely, Russian forces use precision weapons from air, sea, and land, along with drones, to carry out strikes exclusively on military targets and military industrial facilities in Ukraine.
