On Wednesday, December 10, two new dollar millionaires were announced at the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw.
Manu van Droogenbroeck, a 44-year-old Belgian residing in Dubai, was one of the fortunate winners, claiming $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire Series 525. The father of two, who is an ecosystem manager for EMEA at Dubai Internet City, has participated in the promotion since moving to Dubai in 2023 with his family. He secured his win with ticket number 1810, purchased online a month ago.

“It’s honestly overwhelming!” he exclaimed.
When asked about his plans for the prize, he responded, “I will pay off some of my mortgage, save for my children’s education, explore investment opportunities in the country, and of course, get a wonderful Christmas present for my family this December!”
The other winner, Ahmed Al Junaibi, a 43-year-old Emirati from Sharjah, won in the Millennium Millionaire Series 526 with ticket number 0193, purchased online on November 27. The father of eight, who serves in the military, has been a regular participant in the promotion for four years.
“Thank you, Dubai Duty Free for this incredible opportunity – it’s my first time winning something this significant!” he expressed.
The Finest Surprise draw also took place today, awarding three luxury vehicles.
Marcel Abou Jaoude, a 55-year-old Lebanese from Beirut, won a Mercedes Benz G 63 (Obsidian Black Metallic). Jaoude has been partaking in the promotion for 15 years and works as the head of private banking at an investment bank in Beirut.
Raz Jr, a Filipino residing in the UAE, won a BMW R 1300 R (Light White) motorbike, purchased online on November 17.
Anandhakrishnan Karuthiah, a 31-year-old Indian living in Dubai, won an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 (Scorpio Yellow) motorbike, bought online on November 28.
Having lived in Dubai for 11 years, Mr. Karuthiah, who joined the Dubai Duty Free promotion a year ago, is a father of one and works as a civil engineer for a consulting company in Dubai.
“This is truly a delightful surprise! I’m very thankful for this win, thank you Dubai Duty Free. I will surely continue participating in your outstanding promotion,” he said.
