This type of assault rifle is classified as an ‘amphibious rifle,’ designed with a special system that allows special forces personnel to fire at the enemy underwater within a range of tens of meters. At the same time, it can be used on the water’s surface with a range of up to 600 meters.
The Russian site ‘Rosoboronexport’ provided specifications for the ‘ADS’ amphibious rifle, which can fire all types of 5.45 * 39 mm caliber bullets in the air. Additionally, it has the ability to continue firing underwater using a special system that allows the rifle’s firing mechanism to switch from air mode to underwater mode.
The site noted that the ‘ADS’ can be equipped with a silencer to minimize noise, and its movement parts are designed to be adaptable for use by either the right or left hand, providing the fighter with significant flexibility in use.
