Kannada actor Darshan Thogudeepa was recently arrested in connection with the Renukaswamy Murder Case. Following this, his wife, Vijayalakshmi Darshan, announced she would manage his social media accounts to keep fans updated on his projects.

Vijayalakshmi expressed her intention to handle Darshan’s social media, sharing updates and promoting his films. She urged fans to continue supporting Darshan with “unity and positivity.”

In a tweet, she addressed Darshan’s followers, stating, “Your Challenging Star carries each one of you in his heart. Until he can connect with you again, I will manage his social media to deliver updates and movie promotions.”

Darshan was arrested after the Supreme Court canceled his bail. He was taken to the Annapoorneshwarinagar police station in Bengaluru and appeared in court.

Footage showed the actor being escorted by police under heavy security. DCP Bengaluru South, S Girish, confirmed the arrest of four individuals, including actors Pavithra Gowda, Lakshman, Pradosh, and Nagaraj.

Justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan of the Indian Supreme Court revoked Darshan’s interim bail, highlighting a lack of consideration for witness intimidation and other issues.

The Karnataka government also contested the bail order in the Supreme Court. Advocate DL Chidananda commented that the High Court failed to adhere to legal principles for granting bail, emphasizing the rule of law.

AS Ponnanna, the Karnataka Chief Minister’s legal advisor, argued that granting bail to Darshan would hinder the investigation and trial due to his influence.

Darshan Thoogudeepa is implicated in the chargesheet of the Renukaswamy murder case, involving the death of a 33-year-old Chitradurga resident, whose remains were discovered in Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya on June 9, 2024. (ANI)
