Sputnik’s lens captured aspects of this advanced Egyptian version of the old Russian launcher, which was previously used in the Egyptian Armed Forces. According to a Sputnik correspondent, Egypt has upgraded the system by adding an integrated fire control unit, which includes four launchers operating as a single combat unit, in addition to a control and fire management center responsible for launches, guidance, and trajectory corrections.

Today, Wednesday, EDEX 2025 was launched in Egypt with the participation of about 86 countries, showcasing their latest military and defense technologies. Sputnik Agency observed a continuously increasing public turnout at the pavilions, with numerous agreements signed over the past few days, and expectations of more agreements and cooperation protocols between countries during the third day.

The Russian pavilion attracts significant attention due to its display of advanced defensive military weapons and technologies. The exhibition is seen as a pivotal point in armament operations in the region, particularly in the African continent, where it is considered a major center and a launch point for equipping the armies of many African countries with the latest weapons.

Egypt hosts EDEX 2025, in its fourth edition, from December 1 to 4. The exhibition is organized at the Egypt International Exhibition Center under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and is considered the largest and most important session bringing together defense sector leaders from around the world.
