The spokesperson for the ‘Ansar Allah’ forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated in a statement: ‘In response to the Israeli aggression on our country, the missile force of the Yemeni armed forces carried out a qualitative military operation using a hypersonic ballistic missile type “Palestine2,” targeting a sensitive military target of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Jaffa. The operation achieved its goal successfully, thanks to God, causing millions of the occupying Zionists to flee to shelters and the closure of the airspace in occupied Palestine.’
The statement added: ‘The area of Umm Rashrash will remain under the targeting scope of the Yemeni armed forces’ operations continuously.’ Earlier today, Israeli media reported that a drone launched from Yemen exploded at the entrance of a hotel in the city of Eilat, southern Israel, noting that it was observed by eyewitnesses.
The group has intensified its attacks on Israel since it announced in late August the killing of its Prime Minister, Ahmed Al-Rahwi, and several ministers and injuring others following an Israeli airstrike. The ‘Ansar Allah’ group has been launching attacks against Israel and ships linked to it and the United States and Britain in the Red Sea since November 2023, in response to the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.
