Sixteen national road sections across various regions in the Philippines remain impassable, as reported by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Saturday (September 27).
The disruption stems from the combined impact of tropical cyclones Mirasol, Nando, and Opong, along with the ongoing southwest monsoon, known locally as habagat.
According to inquirer.net, the DPWH has deployed Quick Response Teams to the affected areas, including the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and Eastern Visayas. These teams are actively engaged in clearing and repair operations to restore access to the following road sections:

Apayao-Ilocos Norte Road – The detour road at the Annaran Bridge construction site (Madalagudug River) in Butao, Calanasan, Apayao, is flooded and impassable.

Baguio-Itogon Road – A soil collapse occurred at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon, Benguet, specifically at K0263+200.

Abatan-Mankayan-Cervantes Road – In Colalo, Mankayan, Benguet, a soil collapse and damaged slope protection have blocked this section.

Manila North Road, Alambique Bridge in Brgy San Nicolas, Candon City, Ilocos Sur, is impassable due to a scoured bridge approach.

San Fernando – Bagulin Road – The Nagyubuyuban Bridge in Barangay Nagyubuyuban, San Fernando City, La Union, has a damaged foundation and sections of the road are severed.

Cagayan-Apayao Road – Two sections of the Itawes Overflow Bridge in Maguilling, Cagayan, are inaccessible due to scoured approaches.

Cabagan – Sta. Maria Overflow Bridge – Flooding affects the stretch between Barangay Casibarag Norte, Cabagan, and Mozzozzin, Sta. Maria, Isabela.

San Fernando – Talisay Road – Intermittent sections in Masbate are blocked by fallen trees and electric poles.

San Fernando North Road – The San Jacinto–San Fernando and San Fernando–Monreal segments in Masbate are obstructed by downed trees and power lines.

San Fernando South Road – Several areas in Masbate remain blocked by fallen trees.

Masbate Circumferential Road – Multiple sections are obstructed by debris, including trees and electric posts.

Poblacion–Balud–Talisay Road – A collapsed roadway has rendered this Masbate road section inaccessible.

Iloilo–Antique Road – The Bacalan Bridge in Barangay Bacalan, Sebaste, Antique, suffered a scoured abutment, halting travel in the area.

Biliran Circumferential Road – Several segments in Biliran Province are impassable due to soil collapse, scattered debris, and damaged bridge abutments, affecting areas like Barangay Bulalacao, Kawayan, Bilwang Bridge, Ungali Bridge, Kaulanguhan Bridge, and Cabibihan Bridge.

Naval–Caibiran Cross Country Road – A soil collapse in Sitio Macalpe, Barangay Cabibihan, Caibiran, Biliran, has rendered this stretch unusable.

Jaro–Dagami–Burauen–La Paz Road – The Daguitan Bridge in Barangay Poblacion District 6, Burauen, Leyte, remains impassable due to a damaged bridge abutment.
Besides the 16 fully impassable national roads, several other routes in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, and Bicol Region currently have limited access.
