Cyclone to Hit Central Vietnam Sooner Than Expected

According to meteorological reports, the cyclone’s wind speeds reach 133 kilometers per hour. It is expected to hit central Vietnam this evening, Sunday, earlier than anticipated due to its acceleration.

The Vietnamese government reported that the Ha Tinh province has begun evacuating more than 15,000 people, while thousands of soldiers have been placed on high alert.

The Civil Aviation Authority has suspended flights at four coastal airports, including Da Nang International Airport, and has made adjustments to travel schedules.

Authorities also indicated that the heavy rains accompanying the cyclone have already caused flooding in the provinces of Hue and Quang Tri.
