“The future has arrived with homes crafted by ChatGPT,” stated Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, at Gitex Global 2025. He shared that the residence of G42 chairman Sheikh Tahnoun was designed using ChatGPT during a chat with Sam Altman, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenAI, at the five-day global event at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“If you ever get the opportunity to visit my chairman’s new home, you’ll witness a stunning Japanese architectural compound by the sea in Abu Dhabi. This modern Japanese complex was constructed in less than a year. The rapid completion was possible because the entire design process involved him personally prompting ChatGPT 500 times to design his home,” Xiao explained.
“Beyond this strategically planned compound in Abu Dhabi, if you visit my chairman’s office, you won’t see many employees, as there is a 10-to-1 ratio of AI agents to humans. I believe the future is already here when your home is ChatGPT-designed and you have more AI agents than human employees. AI is now a significant part of our daily lives,” he remarked during a discussion titled “From Early Adoption to AI-Native Societies: Envisioning the Next Era of Intelligence.”

Altman highlighted the UAE as a key partner in demonstrating global AI possibilities, ensuring no AI divide. “The best way to prevent this divide is by making AI abundant and teaching its use, as the UAE does, to make it universally accessible. The UAE shares our commitment to global and responsible AI adoption,” Altman stated virtually from the US alongside Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, UAE, at Gitex Global 2025, ongoing at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
