The company ‘Neri’ stated to ‘Sputnik’: ‘In August (last August), scientists successfully performed surgeries on 5 cows with a survival rate of 100%. They were equipped with special electrodes, and using neural stimulation, specialists plan to continuously improve the key indicators of animal health and productivity, such as increasing appetite, reducing stress, improving milk production, and enhancing overall activity.’ The cows were conscious and healthy during the surgery. The stimulation device was placed at the back of their heads, and the electrodes penetrated deeply into specific areas of the brain, including those responsible for reproductive function. This intervention led to long-term improvement, and the cows have already returned to the production cycle. Scientists are working on selecting the optimal stimulation program to consistently increase productivity. For example, when the animal’s appetite decreases, the system determines the appropriate neural modulation program for recovery. Then, they measure whether the cow’s milk production has increased. The company added: ‘The implant procedure is conducted in a mobile neurosurgical operating room, a unique development by ‘Neri’. The use of the mobile operating room significantly reduces the cost of operations and shortens their time to 30 minutes, sparing farmers the need to make major changes to their farm infrastructure and production processes.’ Additionally, specialists are working to reduce implant time and make it simple and accessible. The company believes that this should become a routine practice, seamlessly integrated into daily animal breeding operations.’
