ZainTECH, the digital solutions arm of Zain Group, teamed up with Microsoft to host the ‘AI-Ready Kuwait’ event. This exclusive gathering attracted senior government officials and digital transformation pioneers at the Waldorf Astoria, Kuwait on September 17. The event aimed to propel Kuwait’s AI agenda using secure, scalable cloud technologies in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.

Following successful events in Riyadh, Dubai, and Amman, the Kuwait summit showcased how AI and Microsoft Cloud technologies, applied locally through ZainTECH’s expertise, support governmental modernization, enhance citizen services, and achieve national digital goals.

The event also celebrated the upcoming launch of Kuwait’s first AI-enabled Microsoft Azure Region, a significant step toward national data sovereignty and public sector resilience. ‘AI-Ready Kuwait’ illustrated practical AI applications already in use in the region and how these can be customized for Kuwait.

Hamad Al-Marzouq, Zain Kuwait’s chief enterprise business officer, stated: “We’re committed to translating Kuwait’s digital vision into tangible results using AI. Our AI strategy involves building scalable capabilities across ministries and sectors, aligning policy, platforms, talent, and security to enhance public services, infrastructure, health, education, cyber resilience, and private sector efficiency.”

“ZainTECH combines reliable connectivity with cloud, cybersecurity, data, and AI, partnering with global leaders like Microsoft to offer top-tier platforms in Kuwait. We’re investing in infrastructure and local talent to integrate AI into daily life, fostering sustainable growth,” he added.

Andrew Hanna, CEO of ZainTECH, remarked: “AI-Ready Kuwait focuses on execution—transforming digital ambitions into actions. Kuwait’s public sector is poised to scale solutions addressing critical challenges. Together with Microsoft, we provide secure, future-ready technologies that align with Kuwait’s national objectives, enhancing resilience and citizen services today.”

Participants explored a range of solutions, including Azure ExpressRoute for secure connectivity, robust cloud infrastructure for continuity, OpenAI copilots for smarter engagement, and sector-specific AI tools for healthcare, education, and emergency services. These solutions are supported by ZainTECH’s local expertise and comprehensive cloud and AI capabilities.

Alaeddine Karim, Microsoft Kuwait’s country manager, commented: “With Kuwait’s decisive steps towards becoming a regional AI hub, Microsoft’s partnership with ZainTech is a testament to the private sector’s alignment with national goals. It highlights AI’s transformative impact on business, government, and daily life—accelerating Kuwait’s digital future.”

‘AI-Ready Kuwait’ reaffirmed both companies’ dedication to fostering government transformation through real-world innovation, responsible AI, and secure digital infrastructure. With further collaborations planned, the event was a crucial step in advancing Kuwait’s vision, offering next-gen infrastructure, smarter services, and resilient ecosystems for the public sector.
